Evaporative Cooling

Evaporative cooling is a cost effective way of cooling large spaces which would be uneconomical to cool with a refrigeration based air conditioning system.

We are suppliers of EcoCooling Evaporative Coolers. Typical applications are bakeries, pharmaceutical warehouses, gymnasiums, open plan offices and for process cooling.

How does Evaporative Cooling  Work?

Evaporative cooling takes advantage of the principles of latent heat of evaporation where heat  is exchanged when water evaporates.

Inside the cooler water is applied to pads. A fan draws air through these pads and the water evaporates. This evaporation requires energy.

The water vapour absorbs heat energy from the incoming air, thereby lowering the temperature of the outgoing air. Compared to air-conditioning which uses mechanical refrigeration, evaporative cooling can cost 90% less to run.
